Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Service Technician in Dallas, TX to maintain building systems, perform repairs, and complete make-ready tasks for vacant units. The role requires EPA refrigerant certifications, state/local certifications, and a valid driver’s license to operate property vehicles.

The position includes responsibilities for inventory control, documentation, and adherence to safety standards while supporting grounds upkeep and preventive maintenance across properties.

Qualifications

• EPA certifications Type 1 and II or Universal for refrigerant recycling.
• All certifications as required by State and Local jurisdictions.
• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on property depending on the property size, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose defects and perform repairs meeting established policies, procedures, safety standards, and code requirements.
• Complete the make-ready process for vacant apartments, including inspections, punch list, and coordinating vendors.
• Track inventory, obtain materials, and notify supervisor for reorders.
• Document service requests accurately for records and tracking.
• Maintain grounds and common areas, perform cleaning, painting curbs, and assist with amenities.
• Fix parts when possible to control costs and use tools correctly.
• Attend safety meetings and ensure compliance with safety policies.
• May inspect work by contractors to verify quality and scope.
