Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Service Technician to perform routine and preventative maintenance across residential properties. The role involves diagnosing issues, completing work orders, preparing units for new residents, managing inventories, and maintaining common areas in a fast-paced environment.

The position requires EPA refrigerant certifications, a valid driver's license, and compliance with safety regulations. This is a full-time on-site role with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• EPA refrigerant recovery certifications required (Type 1/II or Universal).
• State and local certifications as required by jurisdiction.
• Valid driver’s license to operate golf cart on property, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders from resident requests and preventative maintenance by diagnosing defects and performing repairs per policies and code requirements.
• Prepares vacant apartments for leasing by completing pre-move-out inspections, creating punch lists, scheduling vendors, obtaining supplies, and inspecting work.
• Maintains inventory by tracking materials, returning unused items, and informing supervisor when re-ordering is needed.
• Completes documentation for service requests to ensure accurate tracking.
• Assists in grounds and common area maintenance, including trash pickup, pressure washing, cleaning, and painting as needed.
• Supports cost-saving by repairing rather than replacing parts when possible and using tools and materials efficiently.
• Participates in safety meetings and training; may inspect contractor work to ensure quality.

Education

EPA Type 1 and II or Universal Certification

State and Local jurisdiction certifications

Valid driver’s license to operate golf cart on property
