Job summary

Convergint is seeking a full-time Service Specialist to service and support existing customers, respond to service calls, and participate in small projects. You will work as part of a dynamic team within a positive culture that values growth and results.

The role involves troubleshooting and repairing security systems, performing maintenance, and collaborating with colleagues to ensure top service quality across client sites.

Qualifications

• Minimum Experience: 3-5 years servicing, integrating, and programming access control systems
• Education: High School/GED or equivalent experience

• Willingness to travel locally to jobsites on a regular basis.

Responsibilities

• Respond to routine and non-routine customer service calls, scheduled maintenance calls, and emergency and after-hours service calls in a timely manner; diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, replace defective parts and debug systems for routine problems; install projects as necessary.
• Use troubleshooting skills to isolate and fix problems in malfunctioning equipment or software.
• Complete accurate and detailed service reports for customer and Convergint in a timely manner for invoicing and cost tracking.
• Provide custom systems integrations, upgrades, audits and consultation as needed; install, configure, and support networks for assigned projects.
• Perform preventative maintenance for installed systems and work with team members on servicing existing customers.
