Pengate Handling Systems, Inc. is seeking a Service Writer (Quote Writer) to transform technician findings and repair recommendations into precise estimates for forklift and material handling equipment service.

You will coordinate with the Parts Department and Service teams to ensure accurate pricing, availability, and lead times. The role requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication, and a customer-centric approach to help clients make informed decisions and move repairs

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
• Strong customer service skills and a professional, positive approach.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced service environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to work collaboratively across departments.

Responsabilités

• Prepare accurate and detailed quotations for forklift repairs and other material handling equipment service.
• Review technician inspection reports and repair recommendations to determine scope of work.
• Research parts, labor, and outside services required for repairs.
• Coordinate with Parts Department to confirm pricing, availability, and lead times.
• Work with Service Managers and technicians to ensure quotations are complete and accurate.
• Communicate repair recommendations and estimates clearly to customers.
• Follow up on outstanding quotations and secure repair approvals.
• Coordinate approved repairs with the Service team to keep work on schedule.
• Maintain documentation of quotations, approvals, and customer communications.
• Monitor open quotations and improve quote approval and conversion rates.
• Identify opportunities to improve the quoting process and overall service efficiency.
