Job summary

CarMax in the Dallas area is seeking a Service Operations Support Manager in Training (Production Manager) to drive operational excellence, lead teams, manage inventory, and support associate development.

You will partner with the Operations Manager to monitor performance, implement improvements, and ensure exceptional service to customers while maintaining EH&S standards. Flexibility for the Dallas market is required in this fast-paced role.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of management experience in a fast-paced, complex environment.
• Ability to lead teams to achieve production goals and maintain operational standards.
• Skilled in reading, interpreting, and maintaining accurate data records.
• Strong multi-tasking abilities in a dynamic work setting.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills for customer and associate interactions.
• Proficiency in common and proprietary software systems.
• Ability to work in indoor/outdoor environments, including noisy or inclement conditions, with flexible scheduling (nights, weekends, holidays) and occasional travel.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage associates to achieve production targets and maintain accurate inventory levels
• Provide coaching and feedback through formal and informal observations to support associate development
• Participate in hiring and training processes to build a strong, high-performing team
• Monitor and maintain key performance measures to ensure operational success
• Execute continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and customer experience
• Resolve customer concerns promptly and professionally, delivering exceptional service
• Responsible for the Environmental, Health and Safety (EH&S) program for your department and/or location, including but not limited to self-inspections, hazardous waste disposal, workplace safety, and PPE.
