Job summary

CarMax is seeking a Service Operations Support Manager in Training to drive operational excellence and develop associates within Service Operations. You will collaborate with the Operations Manager to lead teams, manage inventory, and ensure smooth service delivery while fostering a positive experience for associates and customers.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of management experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lead teams to achieve production goals and maintain operational standards.
• Skilled in reading, interpreting, and maintaining accurate data records.
• Strong multi-tasking abilities in a dynamic work setting.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills for customer and associate interactions.
• Proficiency in common and proprietary software systems.
• Ability to work in indoor/outdoor environments with variable scheduling (nights, weekends, holidays) and occasional travel.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage associates to achieve production targets and maintain accurate inventory levels.
• Provide coaching and feedback through formal and informal observations to support associate development.
• Participate in hiring and training processes to build a strong, high-performing team.
• Monitor and maintain key performance measures to ensure operational success.
• Execute continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and customer experience.
• Resolve customer concerns promptly and professionally, delivering exceptional service.
• Oversee the EH&S program for the department and location, including inspections, waste disposal, safety, and PPE.
