Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals in Texas is seeking a Service Manager to lead the servicing of company and customer equipment in a timely, safe, and efficient manner. You will help organize the yard, schedule repairs, and ensure equipment is ready to rent while building a career with a fast-growing leader in the industry.

You will train and supervise staff mechanics, coordinate with vendors, manage parts and records, and promote safety across the service department.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license.
• Extensive experience in repair and maintenance of self-propelled platforms and lifts.
• Knowledge of work planning and scheduling and other supervisory activities.
• Strong understanding of equipment capabilities and safety requirements.
• Planning and management experience.
• Computer literacy and reporting experience.
• Inventory management experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage repair and maintenance of company and customer equipment, including yard organization (Ready to Rent, Returned, Down).
• Prepare work schedules and service calls to meet customer needs and ensure equipment availability.
• Order parts to maintain adequate supplies.
• Provide training and assistance to staff mechanics.
• Work with equipment vendors to learn maintenance requirements and capabilities of new equipment.
• Evaluate equipment after repairs, maintenance or safety checks.
• Create, update, and maintain service records and work orders.
