Sunstate Equipment Co. in Texas is seeking a Service Manager to lead shop and field service teams, ensuring maintenance, repair, and availability of equipment to meet rental commitments.

You will partner with Sales and Operations to plan timelines and coordinate resources for on-time deliveries. This role emphasizes safety, coaching, and continuous improvement across service metrics, with opportunities to mentor technicians and optimize workflows.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience leading others, formally or informally.
• 3-5 years of management level experience in shop/service management preferred.
• Strong leadership, organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and communicate clearly with teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage the shop and field service mechanics to ensure maintenance, repair and availability of equipment.
• Develop strategic and tactical plans to meet rental commitments.
• Coordinate timelines with Sales and Operations to fulfill contracts.
• Lead continuous improvement across service performance metrics.
• Guide team to meet performance and productivity standards.
• Ensure safety compliance and provide safety training.
• Delegate tasks, monitor progress and coach staff.
• Conduct interviews and performance evaluations to hire and develop talent.
