Job summary

Southland Industries, Inc. is seeking a Service Operations Manager to guide service technicians through supervisory leadership, ensuring safe, high-quality maintenance and repairs for commercial systems.

You will own the service book of business, drive growth and profitability, coach teams, enforce safety compliance, and collaborate with account managers to align service scope with client needs. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• 7 years of service maintenance/repair experience in the mechanical industry, including lead roles.
• OSHA-30 certification required within six months of hire.
• Valid U.S. Driver License with clean driving record.
• Trade/technical training preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Directly responsible for delivery and financial performance of service book of business (Service Agreements, Repairs, T&M).
• Lead teams through supervisors; monitor performance and provide coaching and development.
• Ensure safety, regulatory compliance, and risk management across projects.
• Provide technical support to supervision and technicians as needed.
• Assist with service quotes and estimates to support sales and growth initiatives.
• Review financial statements and performance data to identify cost reductions and improvements.
• Coordinate with account managers to understand customer scope before repairs or contracts.
• Visit job sites to evaluate technician performance and safety compliance.
• Oversee procurement of supplies and equipment for technicians.
• Lead hiring, training, and development; conduct team meetings.
