Job summary

Micro Center in Charlotte, NC seeks a results‑oriented Service Operations Supervisor for our Computer Service Repair and Knowledge Bar. The role oversees the operational aspects, goals and metrics of the Service Department and ensures a high standard of customer service.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent (associate or bachelor preferred), at least one year of supervisory experience in a service retail setting, and A+ and Apple certifications within 120 days of hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate/bachelor preferred.
• Minimum 1 year supervisory or management experience in a service facility or retail service.
• A+ and Apple certifications required within 120 days of hire.
• Communication and language: professional communication, reading, writing reports.
• Physical: lift up to 50 lbs; stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership and guidance to the Computer Service Repair Department and Knowledge Bar associates.
• Ensures parts orders and returns are accurate and timely, and maintains stock quality control.
• Manages cycle counts, inventory turns, obsolescence, and markdowns with Service Purchasing.
• Maintains customer service standards and handles difficult situations professionally.
• Drives performance to meet goals for customer satisfaction, productivity, income, and efficiency.
• Manages vendor relationships, costs, margins, and SLAs; creates vendor P&Ls.
• Participates in staffing, orientation, and training; assists with scheduling.
• Maintains shop certification levels for proper service and repair of products.
• Oversees look and feel of parts room and facility maintenance of the Service Department.
