Job summary

Micro Center in Charlotte, NC seeks an Assistant Store Manager - Computer Services to lead the service repair department, drive customer satisfaction, and ensure efficient operations. You will oversee staffing, certifications (CompTIA A+ and Apple), budgets, and daily store activities to deliver outstanding technology service.

The role requires 5+ years of leadership in retail, experience in technology service and repair, and strong collaboration with store management to meet sales and service

Qualifications

• 5+ years of leadership experience in a major big box retailer.
• Experience in retail management: driving sales, merchandising, operations, and customer service.
• Experience in human resources functions and capable of hiring, retaining and coaching qualified employees.
• A college degree is preferred.
• Shifts include hours before and after the store is open; physical requirements: lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain orderly operation and safety of all areas of responsibility; ensure service policies and procedures are followed at store level.
• Achieve customer satisfaction, sales, productivity, payroll and expense goals of the service repair shop.
• Manage departmental budget (Service Department P&L) and financial controls.
• Resolve customer and/or computer issues in a timely manner per company policy.
• Supervise staffing, orientation and training; ensure qualified associates are hired and trained.
• Lead open/close procedures, freight flow, and merchandise processing; track company assets.
• Serve as manager-in-charge during absence of General Manager or other store managers.
• Develop and coach associates in customer satisfaction, product knowledge, solution selling and SOPs.
