Job summary

Vanguard Truck Centers LLC in Tucson, AZ seeks a Service Manager to lead a busy, profitable service department. You will oversee staffing, scheduling, customer relations, cost controls, and maintenance of service records to meet objectives and uphold our standards.

Responsibilities include forecasting, training, reporting to GM and Service Director, managing safety and compliance, and ensuring timely parts availability and high-quality repairs that minimize comebacks.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience in service department management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Forecast goals and objectives for the department and strive to meet them.
• Hires, trains, motivates, counsels, and monitors the performance of all service department staff.
• Produces and maintains reports required by GM and Service Director as well as the OE provider.
• Attends managers meetings and holds regular meetings with department staff.
• Monitors and controls the department's performance using reports, tracking systems, and surveys.
• Maintains a culture of harmony and teamwork interdepartmentally and with others.
• Ensures compliance with hazardous waste disposal, OSHA, CSA, Right-to-Know, etc.
• Directs and schedules activities of all department employees.
• Facilitates training and sends employees to appropriate training schools.
• Monitors technicians' productivity and payroll records.
• Ensures customers are greeted promptly with fair estimates for repairs.
