Job summary

Columbus Equipment Company, Ohio's Dependable Dealer, seeks a Service Manager to lead the service department, drive customer satisfaction, and maximize profitability while upholding safety and quality standards.

Qualified candidates have 3+ years in earth-moving equipment service, strong leadership, excellent communication, and a high school diploma or technical training; DOT drug test background check required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; college/tech training helpful.
• Three or more years of experience with earth-moving equipment parts and service in a customer-facing role.
• Proven track record in customer satisfaction.
• Strong leadership and coaching abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work well in a team and stay motivated.
• Basic computer skills; able to pass pre-employment background checks and DOT drug test.

Responsibilities

• Ensure customer satisfaction and profitability in the service department.
• Communicate with customers and resolve disputes ethically.
• Maintain timely paperwork flow and keep work in process low.
• Provide timely and accurate invoices with the service team.
• Oversee human resources within the department, maintaining technician productivity, efficiency, and safety.
• Recommend and oversee replacement and repair of internal physical assets.
