Job summary

Columbus Equipment Company is seeking a Service Manager to lead the service department, ensure customer satisfaction, and drive profitability. You will oversee workflow, invoicing, and coordination with technicians to maintain high productivity and safety standards.

The role emphasizes strong leadership, clear communication, and teamwork within a fast-paced environment, with a commitment to delivering exceptional service and asset care.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of experience with earth moving equipment parts and service in a customer contact position.
• Proven track record in customer satisfaction.
• Strong leadership and coaching abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communications.
• Able to work well in a team environment.
• Must pass a Pre-Employment Criminal Background screening and DOT Drug Test.

Responsibilities

• The Service Manager is responsible for customer satisfaction and overall profitability within the service department's areas of responsibility.
• Communicates with customers and ethically resolves disputes keeping the customer and company's interest in mind.
• Responsible for timely paperwork flow keeping work in process as low as possible.
• Provides timely and accurate invoices to customers with the assistance of service team members.
• Responsible for the human resources within the department, with a focus of maintaining a high level of technician productivity, efficiency, and safety.
• Recommends and oversees replacement and repair of internal physical assets.
