Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals is hiring a Service Manager in Nashville. The role oversees servicing of company and customer equipment, coordinating repairs, parts, and safety compliance to ensure equipment is ready for rental and meets customer needs.

You will lead a team of technicians, manage work orders, and work with vendors to understand new equipment maintenance requirements, while promoting safety and quality across the service department.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license is required.
• Extensive repair and maintenance experience with self-propelled platforms and lifts.
• Knowledge of work planning, scheduling and supervisory activities.
• Strong understanding of equipment capabilities and safety requirements.
• Experience in planning and management.
• Computer literacy.
• Experience with reporting and inventory management.

Responsibilities

• Manages repair and maintenance of company and customer equipment; organizes yard (Ready to Rent, Returned, Down).
• Prepares work schedules and handles service calls to meet customer needs and availability.
• Orders parts to maintain supplies.
• Trains and assists staff mechanics.
• Collaborates with vendors to understand maintenance requirements for new equipment.
• Evaluates equipment after repairs and safety checks.
• Documents equipment status before/after rental and handles complaints.
• Promotes safety awareness and performs quality control checks.
• Maintains service records and bills work orders; handles warranty claims.
