Rush Truck Centers seeks a Service Manager to direct an efficient and profitable service department through staffing, customer retention, cost controls, achievement of objectives, and maintenance of service records.

This role emphasizes budgeting, performance monitoring, payroll oversight, strong customer relations, and partnerships with vocational schools to support recruitment, with exceptional compensation and advancement opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma.
• Two years’ service department experience in a commercial dealership.
• Current and valid driver's license with insurability acceptable by the insurer.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and administer an annual operating budget for the service department.
• Monitor and control the department's performance using reporting systems.
• Monitor technicians’ daily productivity reports and payroll records.
• Establish and maintain good relationships with customers to encourage repeat and referral business.
• Establish and maintain relationships with vocational/technical schools to support recruitment.
• Prepare pricing guides and maintenance menus for common labor operations.
• Maintain 72-hour follow-up with customers to confirm satisfaction with service.
• Maintain reporting systems required by general management and corporate personnel.
