Job summary

Salem Leasing is seeking a Service Manager to lead shop operations, ensuring efficient servicing of customer equipment and directing shop staff in daily tasks.

You will oversee scheduling, training, vendor relations, and safety compliance while expanding service capacity and sales within the branch. CDL and diesel expertise are valued, with on-call support as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years hands-on heavy/medium duty diesel mechanic and supervisory experience.
• Flexible shifts with strong customer focus and ability to meet deadlines.
• Working knowledge of computer diagnostics and shop parts/maintenance software.
• High school diploma or higher.
• CDL license preferred.
• Brake and DOT certification.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and supervise activities of all assigned personnel.
• Hire, train and evaluate personnel.
• Establish and maintain relationships with vendors.
• Plan and prepare work schedules; assign duties.
• Assist with increasing sales and expanding markets within the branch.
• Follow DOT and OSHA guidelines and ensure compliance.
• Maintain a safe, clean shop environment.
• Be available to assist with service calls as needed (on-call).
