Salem Leasing is seeking a Service Manager to lead shop operations, oversee diesel truck service, and guide shop staff. You will supervise personnel, coordinate schedules, and ensure safety compliance while maintaining strong vendor relations.

The role demands hands-on diesel mechanics experience, strong leadership, and the ability to manage extended hours. On-site work in Garden City, GA with competitive benefits is offered.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on medium/heavy-duty diesel truck mechanic experience with supervision.
• Flexible shifts, strong customer focus, able to meet deadlines.
• Experience with computer diagnostics and shop maintenance software.
• CDL license preferred.
• On-call availability for service calls 24/7.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and supervise activities of all assigned personnel.
• Provide supervision to employees and ensure timely duties.
• Hire, train and evaluate personnel.
• Establish and maintain good relationships with vendors.
• Follow up on work needed on units leaving the shop for outside repairs.
• Comply with DOT and OSHA guidelines.
• Maintain safe, clean, and orderly work environment.
• Work extended hours when required.
• Plan and prepare work schedules and assign associates to duties.
• Assist with increasing sales and expanding markets.
