The Community Builders, Inc. is seeking a Service Technician II in Chicago to promptly handle service requests, apartment turnover, and property maintenance with strong building trades skills. This role requires a five-day-per-week in-office presence and a focus on customer service.

You will diagnose and repair appliances and systems, perform preventive maintenance, and support REAC/HQS inspections while ensuring safety and high-quality workmanship. Trade certifications are preferred.

Competenze

• High School diploma or equivalent; trade school or 3 years of progressive responsibility in property management or hospitality.
• Minimum of 3 years of advanced hands-on repair experience in two or more building trades.
• REAC/HQS experience preferred.
• Industry-Trade certifications/degrees (NAHMS, CAMT, OSHA, HVAC, etc.) preferred.

Mansioni

• Diagnose and repair appliances, carpentry, hardware, masonry, painting, and basic electrical, plumbing, and HVAC.
• Respond to service requests and on-call emergencies in a timely, professional manner.
• Oversee preventive maintenance tasks for building systems and equipment.
• Prepare vacancies for new residents and complete repairs.
• Maintain grounds and common spaces, including landscaping and snow removal.
• Assist with REAC/HQS inspections and audits.
