Job summary

The Community Builders Inc. is seeking a Service Technician II to support property maintenance at our MA site. The role focuses on interior and exterior repairs, grounds, and keeping units ready for new residents. Expect a strong hands-on trades focus and a customer-service mindset.

Responsibilities include diagnosing repairs, performing preventive tasks, and assisting with warehouse and safety procedures. This part-time position offers on-site work with on-call duties.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; trade school or 3 years in property management or hospitality.
• Minimum 3 years of advanced hands-on repair experience in two+ trades.
• REAC/HQS experience preferred.
• Certifications in NAHMS, CAMT, OSHA, HVAC preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair appliances, carpentry, hardware, masonry, painting, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC.
• Respond promptly to service requests and on-call emergencies as directed.
• Complete or monitor preventive maintenance tasks for building systems and components.
• Prepare and repair vacant apartments for move-ins.
• Maintain grounds and common spaces; manage trash and landscaping.
• Prepare repairs for REAC/HQS inspections and audits.
• Maintain maintenance shop and inventory with PPE safety.
• Weekend work, on-call rotation, and emergency duties.
• Assist Maintenance Supervisor with technical guidance to Maintenance Tech I.
