Job summary

The Community Builders, Inc. is seeking a Service Technician II in Cleveland, OH to promptly respond to service requests and prepare apartments for new residents.

This role emphasizes strong building trades skills and independent work, with a steady in-office schedule five days a week. Responsibilities include performing repairs across appliances, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC, while ensuring safety and quality in all tasks.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Trade school or 3 years progressive responsibility in property management or hospitality would be a plus.
• Minimum of 3 years of advanced hands-on repair in two or more building trades.
• REAC/HQS experience preferred.
• Industry-trade certifications (NAHMS, CAMT, OSHA, HVAC) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair appliances, carpentry, hardware, masonry, painting; basic electrical, plumbing, and HVAC.
• Respond promptly to service requests and on-call emergencies.
• Monitor vendor preventive maintenance for building systems and components.
• Repair vacant apartments for new move-ins.
• Maintain grounds and common spaces; manage trash, landscaping, and snow removal.
