Job summary

United Rentals, the world’s largest equipment rental provider, seeks a Service Manager to lead a major maintenance enterprise, hire and motivate a team of Service Technicians, and continuously improve efficiency and customer satisfaction.

You will work closely with the Branch Manager to build a profitable location, overseeing maintenance, parts, and budgets, while driving safety and performance metrics across the operation.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required; trade-school degree a plus; bachelor’s preferred.
• Valid driver's license with clean record.
• 5+ years in service/maintenance with 3+ years supervisory experience and maintenance leadership.

Responsibilities

• Motivate, coach and train technicians to meet time and quality standards.
• Staff location based on skills and workload.
• Oversee R&M, P&L and related costs.
• Lead continuous improvement of service and maintenance metrics.
• Oversee parts department activities to ensure service quality and cost control.
• Evaluate performance and provide regular coaching and development.
• Promote safety culture and accountability through leadership.
