Job summary

Alta Equipment Group is seeking a full-time Service Dispatcher for the Montgomery, IL branch. This first shift role handles dispatching technicians for service requests and PMs, prioritizes calls, and manages invoicing and paperwork.

Strong communication and time management are essential for daily coordination with field staff and customers. The position requires basic technical knowledge, is based at our Montgomery location, and offers hourly pay between $20 and $26 depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in dispatching, warranty administration or mechanic work is preferred.
• Strong technical knowledge base to support technicians.
• Proficient with Word, Excel and Outlook; ERP experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Dispatch Technicians to handle service requests and PMs.
• Take, record and prioritize customer calls for service requests.
• Prepare and file customer invoices.
• Organize and file department paperwork.
• Maintain Technician time logs.
• Answer internal and customer service calls.
• Enter weekly payroll time cards.
• Open and close work orders with detailed notes.
• Assist invoicing and AR tasks.
• Schedule and monitor PMs for technicians.
• Run PM reports and audits.
• Coordinate technician assignments to closest qualified staff.
• Monitor fleet service calls to ensure on-time field visits.
• Support with technical data and uphold Alta's guiding principles.
