Job summary

Akumin is seeking an Equipment Services Dispatcher & Customer Service Representative in Peoria, Illinois. This role is the primary liaison between operations, service vendors, and management, handling service requests, scheduling preventive maintenance, and dispatching vendors to repair sites to maximize customer satisfaction.

Duties include handling high volumes of calls and emails, maintaining CMMS records, and assisting with closing work orders and invoices.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent Experience
• 1–3 years of experience in dispatching, customer service, or service coordination
• Proficiency in service software, Microsoft Outlook/Office, and other technology tools
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong telephone etiquette
• Ability to work quickly and remain calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Handle a high volume of incoming calls, emails, and online requests, providing exceptional customer service. Troubleshoot basic equipment issues and address customer concerns regarding repairs
• Schedule and coordinate service calls efficiently to service vendors. Dispatch vendors based on location and equipment competencies to meet service commitments. Primarily focused on Preventative Maintenance activities until knowledge grows
• Act as the main point of contact for field units, providing necessary information and updates throughout the day
• Maintain up-to-date, accurate customer records and service histories in the CMMS system
• Assist in closing work orders, providing POs and approving invoices for timely payment to vendors
• Other duties as assigned
