Job summary

Company Wrench Ltd. is seeking a Service Writer to be the primary contact for service customers, handling work order intake, scheduling, and complete execution within five days.

The role requires gathering accurate information, processing orders, generating estimates, and maintaining clear communication with customers throughout the service lifecycle. The candidate will open WOs promptly, verify warranty coverage, coordinate with parts, and ensure proper documentation and approvals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; prior service writer or mechanic experience preferred.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are essential.
• Proficiency with service databases and basic office software is expected.

Responsibilities

• Answers phones and acts as liaison between service and customer.
• Open and document work orders with symptoms, repairs, and approvals; manage data entry.
• Coordinate with parts and scheduling; ensure information is complete in WO notes.
• Explain estimates and obtain customer approval; collect contact details and PO numbers.
• Follow up on stalled WOs and maintain 5-day close targets; ensure accurate notes and tech data.
