Job summary

Auto Plus is seeking an Assistant Service Manager to support the service and tire team under the direction of the Store Service Manager. You will help drive sales across service labor, parts, tires, and fleet business while ensuring organized service repair operations and efficient store performance.

You will assist in training staff on Pep Boys customer care processes, CVIs, and overall store systems. The role requires strong communication, ability to handle customers, and flexible hours

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of automotive service experience.
• One year of automotive service sales experience preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Assist in customer care, work orders, register assistance, maintenance, and merchandising activities including tire stocking.
• Follow POS, inventory, and purchase for re-sale policies.
• Work with management to address customer service issues and business opportunities.
• Drive sales goals for the service center via customer engagement and coaching advisors.
• Assist in training and coaching service-selling associates on Pep Boys Customer Care Process and CVIs.
• Monitor shop productivity, workflow, and safety; aid back-shop operations.
• Partner with Management to ensure a safe, healthy work environment and compliant operations.
• Communicate effectively with staff and customers.
• In the absence of management, act as primary supervisor for store staff.
• Maintain an organized and tidy shop; adhere to all policies and safety rules.
