Job summary

The Pep Boys Manny Moe & Jack LLC in Spring Hill, FL is seeking an Assistant Service Manager to support the Store Service team, drive service labor, parts, tires, and fleet sales, and ensure efficient shop operations. You will coach service advisors, perform CVIs, oversee daily back‑shop activities, and maintain safety and organization, reporting to the Store Manager of Service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of experience in automotive service environment.
• One year of automotive service sales experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Basic math skills for commissions and discounts.
• Acted as a work lead or supervisor previously.
• Ability to work independently and handle difficult customer situations.
• Comfortable utilizing up-sell techniques.
• Strong cash handling skills with POS experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist in customer care, work orders, and register assistance, facility maintenance, and merchandising activities, including tire stocking.
• Drive sales goals for service center operation through personal engagement and coaching of advisors.
• Train and coach service selling associates on Pep Boys Customer Care Process, CVIs, and store systems.
• Monitor shop productivity, workflow, and procedures with emphasis on efficiency, thoroughness, and safety.
• Partner with management to maintain a safe and healthy work environment per laws and policies.
• Open/close responsibilities as key holder and maintain an organized shop.
