Job summary

The Pep Boys Manny Moe & Jack LLC in Clearwater, FL is seeking a customer-focused associate to support service desk, sales floor and register transactions. You will engage customers, schedule appointments, upsell parts and services, and help ensure quick, accurate service.

Responsibilities include handling work orders, maintaining shop organization, following safety and cash policies, and assisting management with daily operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid Driver's License.
• One year of related experience in the automotive service environment.
• One year of sales experience preferred.
• Must have basic knowledge and understanding of mathematical concepts such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, and fractions. Ability to apply mathematical formulas to calculate commissions and discounts.

Responsibilities

• First contact for customers by phone and in-store; engage customers, schedule appointments, and upsell parts and services.
• Organize and manage service business through work orders, register transactions, and knowledge of vehicle inspections.
• Assist in customer care, work orders, register assistance, facility maintenance, and Outside Purchase (OP) ordering.
• Follow policies on cash, credit, checks, refunds, and returns; address customer service issues and opportunities.
• Perform express automotive services, including tire mounting, balancing, rotations, oil changes, and basic car maintenance.
• Ensure safety procedures, proper wheel torque, and oil/fluids services per SOPs.
