Job summary

Xpress Global Systems, LLC is seeking a Service Center Manager in Batavia, IL to lead terminal operations, safety, dispatch and warehousing. You will supervise staff, optimize routes, oversee maintenance and ensure compliance with DOT and NMFC rules.

Ideal candidates hold a four-year degree in Transportation Management, 2+ years of supervisory experience, and demonstrate strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving in a fast-paced LTL environment.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in Transportation Management or other relevant education and minimum of two years supervisory experience or five years in a similar role.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to lead, manage, coach and develop subordinates.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills and knowledge of LTL operations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; AS400 experience is a plus; DOT/NMFC awareness preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise terminal operations, loading/unloading, and customer service for the service center.
• Review and control operations; implement strategies to optimize revenue and expenses.
• Create driver routes, dispatch drivers, and coordinate with linehaul for timely arrivals/departures.
• Ensure safety, compliance, maintenance, staffing, and training of dockworkers.
