Job summary

Central Transport LLC is seeking an experienced Operations Leader to oversee terminal dispatch, dock operations, and driver management. You will coordinate routes, supervise up to 30 local LTL drivers and dock personnel, and drive efficiency across shifts in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Relaying critical information between drivers, vendors, and Terminal Managers.
• Review and revise driver routes to increase efficiencies while monitoring a changing workload.
• Oversee operations on the terminal's dock.
• This includes unloading, managing forklift traffic, and overseeing proper palletized freight picking/sorting.
• Manage up to 30 local LTL drivers and dock personnel to achieve a production schedule.
• Utilize independent judgement to build loads based on labor and freight levels.
• Ensure proper load of carriers by monitoring cube and weight.
• Provide leadership and accountability to a team of drivers and dock staff.
• Monitor dock production and KPI goals and overtime.
• Maintain a safe work environment compliant with DOT/OSHA standards.
• Support a culture of excellence in service for internal and external customers.
