Dayton Freight Company in Iowa seeks a Service Center Manager to lead operations, staffing, enforcement and achievement of center goals while maintaining cost efficiency. You will analyze performance, develop solutions, recruit and train personnel, manage a sales/marketing action plan for territory revenue, and safeguard safety practices in line with DOT/OSHA rules.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the LTL/ transportation industry is required.
• Experience managing drivers and dock workers is essential.
• Experience leading a sales team or sales staff is needed.
• Experience developing and following budgets is required.

Responsibilities

• Inspects and measures Service Center performance and identifies opportunities and problems.
• Maintains excellent communication with external and internal customers.
• Analyzes revenue statistics and develops solutions.
• Identifies sales opportunities and develops customer solutions.
• Ensures compliance with safety practices and regulations (DOT, OSHA).
• Recruits, hires, trains and develops Service Center personnel.
• Develops action plans to maximize territory revenue.
• Investigates incidents and enforces corrective actions.
• Maintains premises and facilitates informational meetings with the team.
• Handles special assignments as directed.
