Job summary

Vertiv in Colorado is seeking a Senior Operations Manager to provide business, managerial, and technical direction for the Service Center. You will supervise Field Engineers and Technicians, coordinate workflow, and act as a customer liaison to ensure smooth project execution and financial performance.

The role requires developing Area Profit Plans, holding regular management meetings, and coordinating weekly invoicing and monthly status reports.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree (BSEE or BSME) with minimal or no experience.
• Electrical technical training from school or military equivalent.
• Experience in the Industrial Service Industry is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication with clients and peers.
• Willing to travel overnight to cover field regions and attend meetings.
• Proven ability to supervise projects with technical and business focus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee sales, profit, and quality for the area operation.
• Review and sign contracts within authority limits.
• Collaborate with regional leadership to promote new business.
• Develop Area Profit Plan and monitor progress.
• Lead regular management meetings to ensure communication and progress.
• Coordinate invoicing and monthly status reports with staff.
• Audit field jobs and supervise field personnel.
• Conduct employee performance reviews and salary recommendations.
• Coordinate technical training and career development.
• Review and update field procedures and changes.
• Interview job applicants and contribute to proposals and reports.
