Job summary

Vertiv is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Manager to supervise engineers and third-party teams responsible for integrated modular solutions for IT, telecom and industrial segments. You will drive design through delivery, enforce quality and budget, and coordinate multiple engineering disciplines to meet customer requirements.

The role demands leadership, strong communication, and a focus on safety and compliance, with 15–20% travel and collaboration across Vertiv business units.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of engineering and management experience.
• Proficient with AutoCAD, Autodesk Revit and SolidWorks.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and equipment specifications.
• Knowledge of NEC, NBC, IBC and NFPA70 standards.
• Strong organization, detail orientation and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; strong leadership.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the post-sales mechanical engineering team and manage project execution from design through production and delivery.
• Lead the team to create designs meeting Vertiv's quality requirements within budget.
• Coordinate multiple engineering disciplines (structural, architectural, thermal, electrical, mechanical, fire) including third-party engineers.
• Collaborate with Vertiv units and suppliers to select equipment meeting requirements.
• Interact with customers and their teams to align designs with expectations and permitting needs.
• Oversee site coordination, site reviews and engineering evaluations; provide startup support as needed.
• Travel 15–20% domestically as required.
