EMCOR Services New England Mechanical is seeking a detail-oriented Service Billing Specialist to support accurate and timely billing of service work throughout New England. You will ensure service orders are properly costed, billed, and compliant with tax and prevailing wage requirements.

In a high-volume office environment, you will review contracts, resolve billing discrepancies with internal teams, and generate invoices while maintaining meticulous records.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2-3 years of billing, bookkeeping, accounting support, and customer service experience.
• Advanced understanding of accounting principles and ERP software.

Responsibilities

• Process high-volume weekly service order billing across multiple groups.
• Ensure accurate costing using standard cost accounting methods.
• Review service agreements for billing accuracy and compliance.
• Analyze and resolve billing discrepancies with internal teams.
• Apply state tax and prevailing wage requirements to work across New England.
• Maintain detailed records and timely invoice generation.
• Collaborate with service, operations, and accounting teams to improve processes.
