Job summary

EMCOR Services Mesa Energy seeks an Accounts Receivable/Billing Associate to manage project invoicing and collections. You will coordinate with project managers to submit monthly billings and review contracts for accurate invoicing.

You’ll work with subcontractors to obtain necessary documentation, secure lien releases, and assist payroll with certified reports. The role requires 2+ years in collections, strong communication skills, and proficiency with Word and Excel.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in Accounting or Finance preferred.
• 2+ years’ experience in collections.
• Strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
• Comfortable using Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Project Managers to track monthly progress billings and prepare invoices for all construction jobs.
• Review contracts for billing terms and ensure invoices are prepared accordingly.
• Obtain documentation from subcontractors to support invoice packages, including lien releases.
• Assist Payroll in securing certified payroll reports from Mesa subcontractors.
• Prepare service invoices including maintenance contracts, T&M, and quoted work.
• Monitor accounts receivable aging and make collection calls.
• Resolve collection or slow-pay issues to accelerate payment.
• Call accounts and document all customer interactions.
• Handle invoice disputes and escalate with the appropriate personnel.
• Follow up on disputes to ensure prompt response.
• Prepare construction lien releases.
• Support management with other related duties as needed.
