New England Mechanical Services, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Service Billing Specialist to support accurate and timely billing of service work across multiple locations in New England.

In this fast-paced role, you will ensure service orders are properly costed, billed, and compliant with applicable tax and prevailing wage requirements. The position is in-person in Windsor, CT, and you will collaborate with service, operations, and accounting teams to optimize billing processes and achieve

Formación

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2-3 years of billing, bookkeeping, accounting support, and customer service experience.
• Strong understanding of accounting and bookkeeping principles.
• Experience working with ERP or accounting software such as SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, or similar platforms.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word.

Responsabilidades

• Process and manage high-volume weekly service order billing across multiple service groups.
• Ensure accurate service order costing using standard cost accounting methodologies.
• Review and interpret service agreements to validate billing accuracy and compliance.
• Analyze and resolve billing discrepancies through research and collaboration with internal teams.
• Apply state-specific tax regulations and prevailing wage requirements to service work performed throughout New England.
• Maintain detailed records and ensure timely invoice generation.
• Partner with service, operations, and accounting teams to support efficient billing processes.
• Contribute to continuous process improvements that enhance accuracy and customer satisfaction.
