Job summary

Lippert is seeking a Service Writer to act as the primary liaison between customers and service technicians. You will manage vehicle service requests, communicate with customers, and coordinate workflow from start to finish.

You will provide cost estimates, explain services, and keep customers updated on progress. Excellent communication skills and strong knowledge of record keeping and computer programs are required to succeed in this role.

Qualifications

• Act as liaison between customers and technical staff; interpret and convey inquiries and requests.

Responsibilities

• Receive, interpret, and communicate customer inquiries and requests to technicians; convey responses to customers.
• Prepare and complete customer repair orders with clearly documented repair concerns and upgrades; ensure proper charges and timely closure.
• Maintain accurate and timely reports/records for the service department.
• Sell Lippert products based on customer needs or repairs.
• Inform customers of timelines, costs, and changes with a focus on quality service and repeat business.
• Prepare estimates with detailed information for work needed on the customer's unit.
• Place part orders for repair orders and ensure parts arrive on site before scheduled service.
