Job summary

AutoNation Ford Sanford is seeking a Service Advisor to bridge the gap between service technicians and customers. You will explain technician recommendations in clear terms and identify upsell opportunities while ensuring a safe, reliable vehicle for each client.

In this role you will set appointments, meet sales and satisfaction targets, greet customers, assess vehicle needs, and coordinate with the shop to complete work promptly. A customer-focused, tech-fluent professional will thrive here.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven ability to provide an exceptional customer experience.
• Ability to set and achieve targeted goals.
• Prior sales experience preferred but not required.
• Demonstrated communication, consultative, interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Willingness to follow up with customers.
• Experience and desire to work with technology.
• Valid in-state driver’s license and an acceptable, safe driving record.

Responsibilities

• Set, confirm and prepare for appointments with customers for a great service experience.
• Meet or exceed targeted sales goals and customer satisfaction index.
• Greet customers in a friendly manner upon arrival.
• Determine vehicle needs based on information, walk-around, inspections and test drives.
• Use consultative selling to plan for maintenance of vehicles.
• Produce repair orders with cost and time estimates and transparency.
• Communicate with technicians and parts to ensure timely completion of work.
• Follow up with customers on status and satisfaction.
