Job summary

Quirk Ford in Quincy, MA is seeking a friendly Service Advisor to greet customers, listen to needs, and schedule appointments. You will obtain vehicle information and clearly report symptoms as described by customers.

You will prepare labor and parts estimates, track progress, and keep customers informed throughout the service process. You will explain all completed work and charges to customers, ensuring accuracy of invoices and high customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Past experience as a service advisor, assistant lane manager or service consultant
• Familiar with automotive service processes and customer interaction
• Ability to identify the problem quickly
• Knowledge of automobiles
• Proven record of achieving exceptional customer satisfaction
• Minimum of 1 year in service department
• Basic computer skills
• High school diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Greet customers promptly
• Obtain customer and vehicle information
• Clearly report all vehicle symptoms as described by the customer
• Determine and recommend maintenance based on age, mileage and history of vehicle
• Prepare a complete and accurate estimate of cost for labor and parts
• Establish follow up time
• Monitor the progress of each vehicle throughout the day, and update customers frequently
• Verify that the final invoice reconciles with the work performed on the repair order
• Explain all completed work and charges to customers
