Job summary

Truck Center Companies in Liberal, KS is seeking a Service Advisor to greet customers, collect repair information, and schedule service appointments. You will write and update repair orders, communicate with customers about truck problems, and assist in directing mechanics and shop activities to ensure timely service.

Qualifications

• Must have excellent reading skills and legible handwriting.
• Typing skills of 40 WPM and/or equivalent data processing experience.
• Must have excellent communication skills.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to drive class 8 trucks.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers as they arrive in the service area and note needed repairs.
• Enter complete customer information when opening repair orders, including emails when available.
• Schedule appointments using dealership-approved forms.
• Write service orders and enter repair orders into the computer; communicate with customers about truck problems.
• Explain additional work with cost and time estimates; obtain customer approval.
• Coordinate with Service Manager, Shop Foreman, and mechanics on job assignments.
