Young Automotive Group is seeking a skilled Service Advisor/Service Writer to join our team. The role acts as the liaison between customers and service technicians, ensuring clear communication and outstanding service throughout the repair process.

The position emphasizes strong interpersonal skills, automotive knowledge, and a passion for customer service, with a family-owned culture and excellent benefits for full-time staff.

Qualifications

• Two years related experience and/or training required.
• History of solid and successful employment with good references.
• Proven track record of providing exceptional customer service. Prior sales experience helpful.
• Clean driving record.
• Able to pass background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Schedules service appointments and obtains customer and vehicle data prior to arrival.
• Writes up customer’s vehicle problems accurately and clearly on repair orders.
• Advises customers on the care of their cars and the value of maintaining their vehicles in accordance with manufacturers’ specifications.
• Refers to service history and inspects vehicle.
• Recommends additional needed service and provides written cost estimates for labor and parts.
• Monitors progress and notifies customers of changes in estimates or time.
• Explains costs and time requirements in detail and obtains authorization for additional repairs.
• Keeps service forms, menus and pricing guides up-to-date.
• Explains completed work and charges to customers.
• Implements a quality control process to reduce comebacks.
• Handles phone inquiries regarding appointments and work in process.
