Job summary

Ricart Automotive is seeking a Service Advisor to greet customers, review service needs and coordinate with technicians to deliver timely repairs. You will generate repair orders, develop estimates, verify warranties, and manage scheduling and communication with customers.

The ideal candidate has strong communication and problem-solving skills, can handle multiple tasks, and is comfortable working nights/weekends as needed. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Review daily appointment schedules and greet customers in the drive.
• Review appointment reason, ask questions to identify other issues.
• Generate repair orders for customers.
• Dispatch the job to the properly trained technician.
• Develop estimates by costing materials, supplies, and labor.
• Calculate customer payments including deductibles.
• Verify warranty and service contract coverage by examining documents and records.
• Arrange towing and temporary transportation for the customer.
• Answer incoming calls from customers and set appointments for future service needs.
• Make outgoing calls to customers to update them on the status of their vehicle in service.

What We Need From You- Job Duties and Requirements:

• Review daily appointment schedules and be prepared to greet customers in the drive with knowledge of their appointment
• Review primary appointment reason with the customer and ask customer questions to identify any other issues their vehicle may be experiencing
• Generate repair orders for customers
• Dispatch the job to the properly trained technician
• Develop estimates by costing materials, supplies, and labor
• Calculate customer’s payment; including deductibles
• Verify warranty and service contract coverage by examining documents and records
• Arrange towing and temporary transportation for the customerAnswer incoming calls from customers to address concerns and set appointments for future service needs
• Make outgoing calls to customers to update them on the status of their vehicle in service.
• Any additional training or responsibilities as deemed necessary by Service Manager

Qualifications/Essential Job Functions:

• Must have a valid driver’s license
• High school education or equivalent
• Ability to drive a manual vehicle preferred, but not required
• Excellent oral communication skills
• Experience working in cashier/credit card systems preferred but not required.
• Must be able to stand for long periods
• Flexibility with schedule to work nights and weekends
• Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills
• Must be able to manage relationships across all channels and levels
