Job summary

Palmen Auto Group is seeking a Service Writer to be the first and last impression of our shop experience. You will greet customers, listen to problems, and relay issues to the technician team to ensure accurate service communication.

The role emphasizes building strong customer relationships, coordinating repairs, and maintaining professional standards while supporting shop operations and promotions. We offer competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Accredited training in service advisor skills, customer satisfaction and quality control.
• Ability to read, write and speak English fluently.

Responsibilities

• Meet with customers and determine their needs for repair and/or service of their vehicle issues.
• Increase customer satisfaction by building customer relations.
• Maintain the company's standards for ethical business practices and professional image.
• Monitor the progress of each vehicle and update customers; maximize sales and promote promotions.
• Oversee technicians working on customers’ vehicles, including time management and parts ordering.
• Oversee and participate in quality control.
• Participate in development and documentation of standard operating procedures.

Job Summary: Service Writers are usually the first and last impression a customer has with a shop. They’re the ones who greet customers, listen to the problems a client is having with their vehicles, communicate to the team of automotive technicians what the problem is, and act as the liaison between the shop and the customer every step of the way.

• Participate in the development and documentation of standard operating procedures as appropriate
