Job summary

Jim Coleman Nissan of Silver Spring is seeking a motivated Service Advisor to join our state-of-the-art service department in Silver Spring, Maryland. You will guide customers through the service experience from intake to delivery.

Responsibilities include communicating with customers, coordinating with technicians, and recommending parts and service options while aiming to maximize customer satisfaction and dealership profitability.

Jim Coleman Automotive is a 3rd generation family-owned dealership founded in 1968 by Mr. William Coleman. The Coleman family has been selling and servicing cars in the DMV since the 1950s. Mr. Coleman had a vision of establishing a dealership with a superior level of customer service standards. He believed that Bethesda residents and Washingtonians alike possessed higher expectations of retailers. He was ahead of his time, striving to deliver a unique, customer-focused car buying experience. He passed along this legacy of customer care to his son Jim who led the company's expansion and diversified its brand offerings in the 1980s and 90s with an expanded portfolio including Toyota, Infiniti, Honda, Jaguar, and Land Rover dealerships. Jim Coleman Automotive now has 9 franchises throughout Maryland and can be found in Bethesda, Silver Spring, Clarksville, and Ellicott City. The company is now led by brothers Patrick and Brendan Coleman who strive each day to optimize the business and to continue to broaden the reach of the Jim Coleman brand.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Service Advisor to provide advice and assistance to customers throughout the service experience. You will be responsible for a variety of duties that pertain to creating a cultivating environment for our team and a beyond fantastic experience for the client. We are looking for an ambitious person that is interested in developing lasting relationships with customers and creating a strong team environment. You will have the opportunity to work at a state-of-the-art facility with a great work environment in Silver Spring, Maryland.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely updates
• Assist customer with needs/requests
• Greeting customers at the service lane
• Consulting with technicians regarding necessary repairs and possible alternatives to expensive repairs.
• Using your knowledge of our products and services to sell or provide in-depth information about available parts and service options to customers.
• Answering questions about service outcomes and scheduling and booking appointments, vehicle drop-off, and vehicle pick-up.

• Tech savvy with working knowledge of computer systems and databases
• Able to balance a customer-oriented and results-driven approach
