Job summary

Alta Equipment Group in Itasca, IL is seeking a full-time Service Administrator to manage the work order process and support the service manager. The role will focus on accurate processing of customer and technician needs and ensuring timely completion of jobs at the Itasca branch.

Responsibilities include obtaining PO numbers, entering repair write-ups, preparing and closing work orders, managing time entries and payroll, and coordinating with other departments.

Qualifications

• Billing and customer service experience preferred.
• Strong computer skills with MS Word/Excel/Outlook.
• Experience with ERP systems a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Time management and ability to interact with all levels of coworkers and customers.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to the service manager.
• Obtain PO numbers from customers per process.
• Input technician job repair write-ups into the business system daily.
• Prepare all work orders for review after job completion.
• Close all work orders when jobs are completed.
• Record all time entries and payroll for shop and field technicians.
• Call customers to provide updates or gather information.
• Coordinate with inter-company departments on open issues.
• Incorporate Alta's Guiding Principles into daily activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Maintain consistent, regular attendance and be ready to start on time.
