Job summary

The HMSHost Server position is responsible for taking food and beverage orders, entering them quickly and in proper sequence, and serving meals and drinks to guests in their section as well as other sections. You will coordinate with the kitchen to ensure timely service and high-quality food, while providing top-notch customer service.

This non-exempt role typically reports to the Store Manager, Assistant Store Manager, or General Manager depending on local requirements, and supports HMSHost

Qualifications

• Must meet state minimum age for serving alcoholic beverages.
• At least 6 months of related serving experience preferred.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 20 lbs.
• Ability to communicate clearly with guests and coworkers.

Responsibilities

• Takes food and beverage orders and enters orders in proper sequence.
• Serves food and beverages to guests in their section and other sections as needed.
• Coordinates with the kitchen to ensure timely service and quality of food.
• Provides the highest quality of service to customers at all times.
• Maintains table appearance by pre-bussing and restocking napkins.
