Job summary

HMSHost is seeking a server to take food and beverage orders and provide attentive service in a fast-paced environment. You will coordinate with the kitchen, ensure timely service, and maintain guest satisfaction throughout your shift.

This non-exempt role reports to store management and requires the ability to lift up to 20 lbs and stand for long periods. Prior serving experience is preferred and state age requirements apply.

Qualifications

• Must meet state minimum age for serving alcoholic beverages.
• Requires at least 6 months of closely related serving experience, work in high volume or fast casual dining preferred.
• Demonstrates the ability to interact with the public and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic manner.

Responsibilities

• Takes food and beverage orders, places orders, delivers orders, checks back after delivery to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Maintains table appearance by pre-bussing, checks drink levels, removes clutter and provides napkins.
• Presents check for payment and handles change as needed.
• Follows HMSHost customer service, adult beverage and cash handling policies and procedures.
• Keeps station clean, sets up and takes down station tables.
