Job summary

HMSHost in San Diego is seeking a friendly Server to take food and beverage orders, enter them accurately, deliver meals in a timely fashion, and work closely with the kitchen to ensure quality and guest satisfaction.

The role requires at least 6 months of serving experience in a high-volume setting, the ability to lift up to 20 lbs, stand and move for long periods, and strong communication with guests and coworkers; this is a non-exempt, full-time position reporting to the Store Manager

Qualifications

• Must meet state minimum age for serving alcoholic beverages.
• At least 6 months serving experience in high-volume dining.
• Able to lift up to 20 lbs and stand/move for long periods.
• Strong communication with guests and coworkers.

Responsibilities

• Takes food and beverage orders, places orders, delivers orders, checks back after delivery to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Maintains table appearance by pre-bussing and ensuring napkins and supplies are available.
• Present check for payment and provide change as needed.
• Follows cash handling policies and service procedures.
• Keeps station clean and set up/take down tables as required.
