Job summary

Supermicro is seeking a Service Technician who will be responsible for fieldwork at customer sites to resolve and repair server systems. The Service Technician is a critical part of post-sales support and needs to demonstrate exceptional technical aptitude in working with server products in addition to excellent interpersonal skills.

It requires the ability to Support our Global Service network and help build a world-class field engineering organization.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years’ hardware repair or debugging experience.
• Ability to travel 15 days per year.
• US work authorization required.
• Excellent customer interaction skills.
• Typing speed 40+ WPM.

Responsibilities

• Work on-site in data centers at customer facilities.
• Provide on-premise field repair at customer facility.
• Flexible hours including weekends/holidays when needed.
• Determine root causes by working with customers in person.
• Clarify issues, research information, and provide solutions.
• Hands-on work on servers and networking equipment.
• Escalate unresolved problems quickly and professionally.
• Drive customer satisfaction through service excellence.
• Collaborate with engineers, account managers and developers.
• Attend training and certification exams.
