Job summary

American Social in Miami, FL is seeking a friendly server to greet guests, take orders, describe menu items, and ensure a positive dining experience. You will guide guests through beverage and food choices, provide confident recommendations, and deliver orders with courtesy. Fluency in English is required, with late-night shifts possible.

Compensation starts at minimum wage. Ideal candidates maintain composure under pressure, collaborate with restaurant teams, and uphold safety and sanitation

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old to serve liquor.
• Ability to work late-night shifts (potentially 12 AM–3 AM).
• Works assigned scheduled shifts.
• Fluent in English; speak, read, write.
• Attention to detail, speed and accuracy.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
• Good communication with guests and team.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests promptly and courteously.
• Guide guests through beverage and food ordering, with recommendations.

• Deliver beverages and food and maintain a positive guest experience.
• Close the guest experience by collecting payment and inviting them back.
• Maintain a clean and organized dining area; stock supplies as needed.
• Work as part of a team; support FOH and BOH priorities.

• Follows the direction of the Managers on duty

Qualifications

• Minimum of 18 years of age to serve liquor.
• Ability to work Late Night shifts, potentially to between 12 AM – 3AM
• Works assigned scheduled shifts
• Alcohol Awareness Certification (i.e Serv Save, TIPs, etc) required
• Food handling certificate a plus
• Fluent in English; able to speak, read, write
• Ability to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy
• Ability to transport items up to 30 pounds
• Remain in stationary position for up to 4 hours throughout work shift
• Satisfactorily communicate with guests, management and co-workers to their understanding

Compensation: Minimum Wage
